MovementEveryday movement counts
Physical activity can fit into ordinary routines. Walking, cycling, housework, and short movement breaks all count as ways to move more.

Movement does not have to happen in a gym or in one formal workout. Walking to a nearby errand, cycling for a short trip, doing housework, or taking a movement break are all ways to make activity part of an ordinary day.
Look for one opportunity that already fits your schedule: a ten-minute walk after lunch, standing up between tasks, or walking part of a short trip. Start with a version you are willing to repeat, then adjust the time or frequency gradually. If a day does not go to plan, you do not need to make up for it. Simply return to your next usual opportunity.
